Although the exact date was not recorded, it's generally accepted that Shakespeare was born April 23,1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The only record we have to help pinpoint his birthdate is the Parish Register at Holy Trinity Church where his baptism was recorded on April 26,1564. Baptisms typically took place within three days of birth.
