USCA Library Committee - Events: 2022: MAUS Panel Discussion
ICE Event
On Tuesday, April 19th USCA's Gregg-Graniteville Library and the Library Committee will be hosting an ICE event focused on Art Spiegelman's Pulitzer Prize winning graphic novel Maus. The novel, originally published in 1991, reached "best seller" status again in 2022 after a series of challenges to the book and the banning of the text by a Tennessee school board. The lecture will be held on April 5 from 3-4:30 pm in Penland 106 and will feature Dr. Matt Miller (Department of English), Dr. Samuel Pierce (Department of History, Political Science, and Philosophy), and Prof. Brandy Horne (Gregg-Graniteville Library).
