APA 7th Edition Basics

Learn the fundamentals of APA7th Edition. This session will demystify APA in-text citations, the reference list, and the APA student paper format. The session also includes an activity for you to test your new APA expertise.

Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition Basics

PRESENTER: Professor Robert Amerson

Learn the fundamentals of the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition. This session will focus on specific CMS writing style guidelines, how to create note and bibliography entries for different types of sources, as well as how to properly format a Bibliography. This session will also introduce students to various citation resources available in the library and online.

MLA 9th Edition Basics

PRESENTER: Professor Brandy Horne

Learn the fundamentals of MLA 9th Edition. This session will introduce the MLA Core Elements and focus on creating accurate citations and properly formatted Works Cited pages. This session will also introduce students to various citation resources available in the library and online and include an activity to practice creating an MLA citation.

Tips and Tricks for Locating Demographic Information

PRESENTER: Professor Susie O'Connor

Learn what demographic information is freely available to you online through government statistical websites and how it can strengthen your paper or project. This workshop covers what agencies are involved in data collection, what is collected, and how it’s collected as well as covering strategies for finding information through the Census and other core government agency statistical websites.

All library workshops are available for ICE Credit.
