Demographic data workshop - April 20

Come to the library’s Demographic Data workshop to learn how demographic information is used in everyday society to educate the populous, leverage agreements, and inform-decision making processes. During this workshop, we will cover: 

  1. What is demographic data? 
  2. How to use demographic data. 
  3. Why demographic data will benefit you as a researcher. 
  4. Where to look for demographic data. 
  5. Research tips and tricks

This workshop will focus on the United States Government’s 13 principal statistical agencies, with a special focus on the U.S. government’s main statistical agency, the Census Bureau. During this workshop attendees will receive handouts and practice data research skills through some simple exercises. There is something for everyone in this research session. Learn how demographic data applies to various academic disciplines and endeavors. All researchers of all experience levels are welcome. 

Come and join us at 11:00 am Thursday, April 20th in the library on the 2nd floor in Classroom 218.
