About the ACE Event

This is an ACE event is designed to inform students about the issues that are effecting their community right now.  These viewings are created to encourage awareness in local issues and allow attendees to see how decisions are made for our community. 

  • What to expect:
    • Viewing of the most current Aiken City Council Meeting (edited for time) 
    • Q&A Sessions and insights with Political Science Professor, Dr. Sarah Young 
    • Guidance on how to communicate with your elected officials from the Writing Center Director, Dr. Amanda Warren 
    • For students interested in earning ACE credit, please note that credit is awarded for attendance at the live event sessions. Viewing the recordings independently does not qualify for ACE credit.
