  • Contains references to over 6,650 major journals covering 150 scientific disciplines, including psychiatry, medicine, pharmacology, and zoology.
  • Some full text.

DISCUS — Expanded Academic ASAP

  • Covers all subjects, but does include some of the key psychology journals.
  • View ‘Title List’ for list of journals available (shows indexing dates and FULL-TEXT if available).
  • Limit your search to ‘Refereed Journals’ to find articles in scholarly journals.

Search Tips

  1. Use the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms found in the PsycINFO database to find synonyms and related terms. Keep a list of these keywords about your topic.
  2. Note the subject headings or descriptors. Databases often assign different words to topics.
  3. Make a note of where key journals are located (online, in the library, or through Interlibrary Loan).
