Cambridge Scientific Abstracts
Covers a wide range of subject areas from humanities to sciences for the last five years. Includes Biological Sciences, Oceanic Abstracts, Plant Science, Environmental Sciences, GeoRef, and more. CSA publishes abstracts and indexes to scientific and technical research literature.
E-Print Network (Formerly PREprint Network)
Provides access to electronic preprints (generally, manuscripts that have not yet been published) covering physics, materials, chemistry, mathematics, biology and environmental sciences. Developed by DOE and Office of Sci & Tech. Info (OSTI).
High Wire Press
Hosts and maintains the web versions of a variety of journals in science, technology and medicine. Free online full text articles.
The Merck Index
The Merck Index contains 10,955 monographs describing significant chemicals, drugs, and biological substances. The entries are not a listing of Merck & Co., Inc. products, but rather cover a wide range of compounds, which have been selected on the basis of present or historic importance and interest.

Web of Science (aka Science Citation Index Expanded)
Contains references to over 6,650 major journals covering 150 scientific disciplines, including chemistry, physics, agriculture, mathematics, pharmacology, and zoology. Some full text.
Wiley Interscience
Covers many full-text journal and book titles in a variety of disciplines including Chemistry, Business, Life and Earth Sciences, Computer Science, and more. Includes current issues and recent backfiles.

Academic Search Premier (PASCAL)
The world’s largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search Premier provides full text for nearly 4,700 publications, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles. This database is updated on a daily basis via EBSCOhost.

EndNote Web
Allows you to save records from Web of Science and other databases directly into your own online library, organize references, and format citations and footnotes or a bibliography. You will first need to create an account using your email address and a password of your choosing. The account must be created either on-campus or after logging into the VPN if you are off-campus. Proxy server access for creating a new account is not available. Once you have created your account you can access it from any computer off-campus without logging into the VPN.
