You can use the catalog to find the following types of items:

  • Books
  • Ebooks
  • CDs
  • DVDs
  • Music Scores
  • Government Documents
  • Print Periodicals

This guide will walk you through the most commonly used methods for finding items in the Library's catalog.  Click on the tab most appropriate for the type of search you are trying to complete.

  • Search by Title: Use this option if you are looking for a specific item.

  • Search by Author: Use this option if you are looking for books by a specifc author.

  • Search by Keyword: Use this option if you are conducting general research on a topic.

  • Search by Subject: For more advanced searching, this option allows you to browse the organizational structure related to your search term. For example, if you search "history", you will get a list of links (History--United States--Civil War) that lead to more specific results pages.
